It was almost dark and chilly, but we were welcomed with a hot cup of tea. The area downstairs is open fronted to the lake and we were shown upstairs to our room which consisted of a double bed and amazing shower room on one level and stairs to an upper level with twin beds.
As you can see this is not the place with anyone with mobility problems!!!
Dinner las night was traditional; tofu, pork kebabs, local fish, salad with lettuce and carrot, and morning glory cooked with garlic and rice......and chopsticks......! They made an omelette for Orlo as all the food has vegetables and herbs mixed with it....and they brought some spoons and forks. There oranges for afters
I went to bed early to get warm, and actually had a cosy night dressed in my silk thermals and my socks, but we were disturbed by some scuffling in the night which sounded as though it was right by my bed and under the bed. This morning Andrew assures me " that the rats were in the roof"!!
So now we are about to set of on the next section of this adventure to a place called Ha Giang, and I hope the accommodation will be a bit better/warmer!!
